Social Commentary as Political Aesthetic - Ever since of my arrival to the USA I have been hooked onto the major dogma, discourse of the American society, i.e., democracy, and what it entails, i.e., freedom of expression. Especially this dogma in relation to art practice has been explored, its validity challenged, by pushing boundaries of what is acceptable and what is not.

Recent election for POTUS and reflection on it moved me into another direction with my art practice going concurrently with the ones just described. I start making demonstration signs of the imagery, or rather visual vocabulary used in formal art presentation and as such moved them out, among people.

With this body of work, silkscreen prints, I decided to reverse this course of action, and take the imagery off the demonstration signs and bring them back into a formal vocabulary of 2D visual communication, i.e., the prints on paper and as such insert them into a more formal discourse through presentation of a formal settings of white gallery walls.
